On the way home from taking Randi and Adam to the airport, I decided to stop at Dobbies for some plants. I got penstemon, lavender, rosemary, goldencrest, violets, and pansies. I put everything in the ground except the pansies and violets. I'll get those in the ground tomorrow. I really love gardening. It's tough digging all of those holes in the rocky soil here, but that's okay. My only issue is my allergies here. Something is really messing me up. I've been stopped up and coughing for about 2 months now! My ribs hurt. My lungs feel heavy. My nose spray and tablets don't seem to be working anymore (I've used benedryl, zyrtec, and claritin). I think it's time to go to the doctor. I've ordered an air purifier with a HEPA filter for our living room. I hope that helps. Have any of you had luck with air purifiers helping your allergies? There is no air circulation in houses here unless you open the windows, but with allergies.. well, you can see my dilemma.
Today we went to Kung Fu. We've been out for a week due to our friends' visit here and me being sick. It was pretty tough. I couldn't breathe well, and I just didn't have much energy. I'm glad I went, although I did have to take a nap when I got home. Later, Steve and I took the dogs to the Countesswells forest walk. It's so pretty out there!
Look at this slug! |
We use a HEPA filter daily. It really does help my husband and cat with their allergies. (..yeah)
ReplyDeleteThat is encouraging to hear! My dogs are constantly sneezing and snorting.
DeleteMy cat didn't have allergies until we moved to Scotland and now his hayfever is out of this world! But the only thing the vet can do is give him a jab that makes him super hungry and angry all the time :(
DeleteThat sounds unpleasant... although, when I'm hungry.. I'm unpleasant too. hehe
DeleteOMG it's a Nexxus slug. Made of evil.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your allergies. That blows. :( Have you found yourself wondering if you'll ever feel 'normal' again?
Yeah...I get a little bummed thinking I may just be stuck living the rest of my life unable to breathe properly.
